The Society seeks volunteers interested in serving our community as members of the Board of Directors.The Alzheimer Society of Haldimand Norfolk exists to assist individuals and families as they deal with the personal and social consequences of Alzheimer's disease and related disorders; to promote education, advocacy and public awareness; and to support research into the cause, treatment and alleviation of the disease.
We welcome new members to assist us as we enhance services in Haldimand Norfolk to reach individuals who are living with Alzheimer's disease or a related dementia - currently over 1,500 and increasing every year. Reception
On occasion the Alzheimer Society needs volunteers to answer phones and man the reception desk.
Funeral Home Liason Location: Haldimand
Volunteers are needed in Haldimand to connect with local funeral homes . Duties include picking up memorial donations and delivering donor cards to the funeral homes when needed, and sending a thank you letter to families that chose the Alzheimer Society as their charity of choice.

Bingo Live on Cable 5
Bingo Live takes place at the Cable 5 Studio in Simcoe every Thursday night at 7:30 p.m.
Volunteers are required to be at the Cable 5 Studio from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. approximately once per month.
Ladies Luncheon Support Group
Volunteer opportunity to facilitate/co-facilitate a group with caregivers who are caring for someone with Alzheimer disease or related dementia. Volunteer would give telephone reminders to people about the lunch meeting and would meet with them at the restaurant for socialization. Volunteer would assist with the breakfast preparation and help out at the group meeting. Spend 1:1 time with someone living with Alzheimer's disease or a related dementia. Play cards, go for walks, socialize and offer friendship. Provide telephone reminders to caregivers regarding education sessions and support group. Doctors, Lawyers, Churches and Health Care Organizations need printed materials for their clients that discuss Alzheimer's disease. We need volunteers to assist in distributing pamphlets for public use. Volunteers who enjoy meeting the public and are eager to learn about the disease can then share their knowledge by manning our information booth at selected community events, e.g., Public Meetings, Health Fairs, Charity events, etc
