NEW: Covid-19 Update
June 25, 2020
To our valued clients –
Thank you for the patience and understanding you have shown while we have worked to keep you safe during Covid-19! As always, your safety remains our top priority.
We know it has been hard not to be able to come into the office, and we have also missed seeing you in person very much!
As the Covid-19 situation in Ontario gets a little bit better, we wanted to let you know that we are making some positive changes to the way we work. This is not back to normal, though! Not yet.
As of June 2020, our staff are now allowed to bring a small number of individual clients in for an office visit, or make a home visit. This is only for a small number of clients (not everyone) and only in very specific situations. Eligibility for an in-person visit will be decided on by our staff on a case-by-case basis.
These visits will be by appointment only. There is still no drop-in visits allowed at our offices. All visitors must undergo a Covid-19 screening and must be prepared to wear a mask.
We must continue to keep face-to-face contact to a minimum in order to keep you safe!
We are also still not able to have in-person groups – but many are being offered online using Zoom! We have collected all of our online programs and services in one handy website: https://athome.alzhn.ca/ — please click that link to learn more and sign up for workshops!
We miss you and we would love to be able to see everyone face-to-face, but that is still not possible. We are still here to support you by phone and video conference. If you need to talk to a staff person, please call us on the phone.
Once again, this is NOT back to normal, but we hope these changes help a little bit to alleviate stress you may be feeling and offer you more ways to receive support.
We hope you and your families are keeping well, and we look forward to being in touch! Remember, we are always here for you – even if it cannot be in person.
