Foundation

The Alzheimer Society Foundation of Brant, Haldimand Norfolk, Hamilton Halton is dedicated to financially supporting the Alzheimer Society of Brant, Haldimand Norfolk, Hamilton Halton. The Society does receive funding from the provincial government but it is insufficient for the number of persons with dementia who access our programs and services. The Foundation is responsible for raising $1.2 million annually to support numerous education, counselling and health promotion initiatives.

The Foundation manages philanthropic gifts such as planned gifts and bequests; as well as leadership gifts given in support of the ‘Remember Me’ campaign.

Our organization is an amalgamation of previously existing individual chapters. Upon amalgamation, the Board of Directors decided that financial support from donors would continue to be used to support programs and services in the local area.

Fundraising Events & Initiatives

In addition to the fundraising efforts of the Foundation, the Society hosts special events throughout the year (Walk for Alzheimer’s, golf tournaments, etc) to generate additional revenue to support programs and services.
