Our January Walks for Alzheimer’s are going Online!

Let’s get moving in January!

Alas, 2021 is right around the corner, but the pandemic isn’t over just yet. So we are making the best of it and moving our traditional January Simcoe and McMaster University (Hamilton) Walks online!

Instead of one day, participants will have all of January to MOVE in their OWN WAY to support the Alzheimer Society by participating in one of our IG Wealth Management Walks for Alzheimer’s! Each participant can decide how to MOVE – when to MOVE – and where to MOVE. There are lots of activities to enjoy during the winter months – winter walks, sledding, skating, snow angels and building snowmen. If being outside in the winter is not possible, don’t let that stop you from getting involved. You can climb your stairs, get on the treadmill, or even try an activity to challenge your brain like making paper snowflakes. Every MOVE matters in the fight against dementia!

We know these are unprecedented times and we thank you for participating.  We are excited about taking our walks online or virtually so we can continue to offer vital programs and services in our community.  We are challenging you to be as creative as possible and have fun!

All funds raised by each Walk will stay in their respective community! That means funds raised by the Haldimand-Norfolk Walk will stay there, and funds raised by the McMaster Walk will stay in Hamilton and Halton.

As you MOVE throughout January, send us videos and photos of your MOVE in support of the Alzheimer Society.  Our team will put them all together and share on our website and social media channels on January 31st  – let’s celebrate our collective achievement.
