Dementia Education Learning Series for Families and Friends
This 4 session series will offer family caregivers of individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementia an overview of the disease. The topics discussed in this series include understanding what is happening to the brain, managing risks, and planning for the future.
Middle Stage will offer family caregivers of people living with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementia problem solving strategies and approaches for communication. This series will also offer participants several useful avenues for support, all of which can strengthen their ability to provide care.
Long Term Care Information Session
This session will help family caregivers of people living with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementia evaluate their current care giving needs and explore other possible care options available, including long term care.
Care in the Later Stages
Care in the Later Stages will help family caregivers of people living with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementia understand what to expect in the later stages of dementia. The series will also explore how participants can provide comfort to the person with dementia as well as review the experiences of grief and loss.
