Dementia in the Workplace
If you’re interested in booking an information session for your group or organization, please don’t hesitate to get in touch . The Alzheimer Society will provide a presentation in your workplace on any topic related to Alzheimer’s disease or another dementia, and ways to promote brain health. A donation is appreciated for providing this service.
School teachers help us to partner their students with persons with early stage dementia. Our Public Education Coordinators provide students (grades 8 and up) with dementia education and interview techniques. Then, over 5 interview sessions the students will work with a person with early stage dementia to create an album of their life story.
The Dementia Experience is an experiential learning opportunity for paid health care providers and is available by contacting your local Alzheimer Society.
Dementia education for community groups
Our Public Education Coordinators are available to organize a presentation for your group, class or membership. Subjects, timing and content are tailored to your needs. No cost, but donations gratefully appreciated. Please call your local society for more details.
